“There wasn’t much regulation when we got started in holistic health. But soon after, I realized I wasn't able to openly share my story or support others in the same way because of legal restrictions. The PWA was a game changer for us. They licensed us, and also provided education on what you can and can’t do legally as a holistic practitioner.”
As a child, Cindy Culpepper dealt with chronic pain and emotional distress issues that had her visiting many traditional, Western doctors to treat it. But the solutions they gave her never worked. After being prescribed tons of medications, she suffered severe, unwanted side effects, but no relief from her pain.
That’s what set her on the path of holistic health. After becoming pain-free through prayer and holistic methods, Cindy chose to share her gift with others so they too could enjoy the long-term health and wellness benefits of natural health.
Together with her husband, Bryan, their first endeavor into holistic health began more than 20 years ago.
Today, the Culpeppers have a 25-acre holistic retreat (called “The Land”) in Mississippi where they offer a sacred space for people to remember who they are through emotional freedom techniques (EFT tapping), reiki, prayer, meditation and affirmation, aromatherapy, crystal healing, BioMats, walking and hiking trails, as well as stargazing. Bryan is also well-known for his music focused in the power of vibration and frequency.
Cindy and Bryan are licensed members of the Professional Wellness Alliance and enjoy the best legal defense possible for their holistic services. Cindy shares her experiences about being a part of the PWA community below.
My husband and I were researching certifications and licenses for holistic modalities and found the PWA. We spoke with Jim [a PWA Personal Coach], and he was so helpful throughout the process. He sat down and explained everything to us about how important it was to be protected through license as a holistic practitioner.
Our visions aligned, and we felt supported by the PWA team. It really resonated with Bryan and I, and we knew we needed to be protected in order to continue providing holistic services.
