About Kevin

Despite being interested in nutrition and supplements since his teenage years, Dr. Kevin Kilday spent the beginning of his career working with his family’s corporate business. However, while on a personal journey, he connected with a pastor who had started an alcohol and drug recovery program, which changed Kevin’s trajectory in life.

Kevin leveraged his background in nutrition to begin helping with the pastor’s program. What started as something he did in his spare time, soon became his full-time career. After getting a PhD in pastoral counseling, and after nearly a decade of working with the pastor’s program, Kevin opened his own out-patient center called Life Recovery Center in 2005. He offered his clients a holistic approach to addiction recovery.

Then in 2011, Kevin lost two family members to recurring cancer. This triggered his interest in studying again, and he pursued another PhD in natural health. He focused on learning more about traditional Western cancer treatment, and he didn’t like what he saw. This inspired him to write an alternative cancer solutions protocol, called Winning Against Cancer, and he began offering consulting on alternative cancer solutions in 2013 opening the Holistic Health Center (HHC) and merging his existing Life Recovery Center with HHC.

For clients facing either cancer or addiction, Kevin’s approach addresses the mind, body, and spirit. He considers nutritional needs, supplements, and exercise — working to make the body a hostile environment for cancer, or helping his addiction recovery clients tackle the damage to their system from drugs or poor eating habits. His counseling background also allows him to work with his clients on their mental state, and he guides them in connecting with their higher power, whatever their spirituality.

Kevin offers his consulting services, as well as health testing, thermography, Bemer therapy, and supplements, through his non-profit, Holistic Health Center. He is able to work with clients across the country, as he now offers his services via Zoom in response to the COVID pandemic.

Kevin is a licensed member of the Professional Wellness Alliance, which provides him with the best legal defense possible for his holistic services. He also enjoys the benefits of licensure, the practitioner resources, and continuing education available on effectively operating a holistic business.

Why did you join the PWA?

I wanted to protect myself and my services, so I researched how other holistic practitioners were licensed. This led me to the Professional Wellness Alliance and after looking over their website and getting in touch with them, I knew it was the right match for me. I have been licensed with them since 2012.

How has being PWA-licensed helped you in your holistic business?

My pastoral counseling encompassed addiction and nutrition counseling, but in the state of Florida there are licensed addiction counselors and licensed nutritionists, and I didn’t want to cross that gray line. Being part of the PWA makes me feel confident that I don’t need to worry about that anymore.

I have support and protection if I am challenged by a state or governmental agency, which I know happens to holistic practitioners. I advise all holistic practitioners to protect themselves and join the PWA — on top of legal protection, they offer a wealth of support and information.
